Man, oh man......

It seems like an eternity since I put up the Christmas tree, and it's only been 5 weeks!

I've been sick most of that time, and have only been able to scrap 10 minutes at a time. I've had an ear infection, with headaches so bad I wished for a migraine, so it would hurt less! The headache is gone, by hearing is almost all the way back, and my body stopped hurting..... so life is good again.

I have a couple of updates. One being that I had my check-up, and blood was good. Doc has no idea why I only sleep every couple of days, but is not a fan of prescribing pills, and I whole heartedly told him I wasn't going to take them if he did, which netted me a very odd look. My hands and feet will either heal, or not. There is no "fix it" available. My brain is slowly getting back to normal, and he doesn't want to do tests at this time...... all in all, I came away with a clean bill of health. Found a book in the waiting area that scared the daylights out of me, and I will try and find it so I can read at leisure, instead of skimming it. Maybe that will clarify, and take a little bit of the panic away.

Mike has  his stress test tomorrow, and he wasn't feeling "right" today, so we'll see what happens with that. He's been taking his medicines, is not tired all the time anymore, and rearing to go to work. (Although I have my reservations as to "will he be able to". He misses working, and gets SO bored. Thank god his Giants are still playing, and we get to tape the games. I hope they make the SuperBowl!!!  With the time difference, they play in the middle of the night here, so we tape the games, and have Football Tuesdays, instead of Sundays LOL. We make "healthy" pizza, and an extra snack, sit around in yammies and comfy clothes and watch football. It's great! If they make the SuperBowl, we WILL stay up and watch the game when it's played.....  We'll know Tuesday! We just have to stay away from the sportschannel, and the internet where we may see the results. We don't want to know until we watch the game!

I finished my pages for IvyScraps including the Bingo prize, StarSongStudio and actually put my heritage challenge up before the 15th! I also entered the QP contest over at CoolScrapDigital again. The kit is absolutely gorgeous!!  It almost sounds like I'm living in a sane world! LOL.

So..... here are the pages with the information needed.

This first one, is the entry for Lifebook. I misunderstood the assignment (no surprise there! LOL) but I think I will keep it. It's what's on my mind. I'll work on the actual page... First home after marriage... as soon as I find pictures of it.

StarSongStudio's Mirror Dreams. It will be released on January 27th

It will be available here:

DigiDesignResortE-ScapeandScrap, CoolScrapDigital and HeritageScrap

Here's the second page I made with it. It's not quite what I envisioned when I started, but I like it anyway :-)

The January Mega over at Ivy is called: Fun at Work. I used it to catch up on a page for Lifebook, both Mikes and mine. There are a couple of pages still needed for this section of our LifeBook, but 1 each is a start..... I think..... :-)

The kit has 35 papers and 88 elements, made by 6 designers. Go take a look in the CT-gallery for some inspiration.

The QP contest over at CoolScrapDigital promises to be awesome. There are a couple of pages already in the gallery, and they are wonderful. I think, if I counted right, that there will be atleast 30 QP when all is said and done! Go check it out.  The generously donated kit is by Cocotounette, and is called OhMy!

You can Download HERE
The page looks really funky on 4Shared, but it downloads looking just as I intended it to look.  One of these days, I'm going to get the hang of posting these.......

Also just out from StarSongStudio, is Apricot Glow.

I don't know why I like this picture of grandma with mom so much, but I keep finding new ways to scrap it!

We tried to walk this cemetery, but the stones are in such bad shape, that we gave up. This  page will be part of the family tree, because there are family members buried here. We have not been able to find out who holds the records yet, so we are not sure who's there, and who's rumored to be there......

This kit is available at DigiDesignResort, E-ScapeandScrap, CoolScrapDigital and HeritageScraps. This great kit has way more uses than I've shown, but I guess I was in a "genealogy kind of mood" when I made these pages. LOL.

There's still time to come over to LifeBook, over at VictorianRoseDesigns. We're about halfway thru, but you can either catch up over time, or get a start, and join again next time. There's a summer break of a couple of months, but it usually starts around September. Last year, I started Mikes LifeBook, this year I started mine, and next time..... I'm going to fill in the gaps for both. That is really the hard way of doing things, so I may just catch up on one of us, and save the other one for the session after that. I think it will provide a more cohesive album if you stick to one at a time. You're in a certain frame of research, pictures, colors etc. and that will show in the pages. If you jump from one person to the next, it may get a disjointed look. I don't really have to worry about that, because I can't stick to one look, to save my butt, so it may work afterall LOL However you want to do this, whatever the amount of research you've done, or are willing/able to do, it will be a nice addition to the family tree information. It gets away from stats, forms, dates and places without a visualization of the personal momentos..... Check out the gallery she has, come to a chat (Monday night, 9PM Eastern Time aka "godawfulearly for me on Tuesdaymornings") and see if it is something you want to do. We'd love to see you there, and everybody pitches in to help if there are questions.

Last but not least........ I have a job interview on Tuesday, at the library, on base...... Keep your fingers crossed, I REALLY  REALLY want this job!

Bye for now, and don't forget to hug a loved one!

  1. You really are a stalwart creating all those pretty pages while you were feeling so bad. Our national poet, Robert Burns, said “Toothache´s the hell of all diseases.” I´d add earache to that. By the way, never mind reading anything that scares the daylights out of you. If a quick glance is bad, reading any more isn´t going to make you feel any better.
Good luck with the job interview.
